Configuring Your First Workflow
A guide to the initial configuration of a new workflow.
Configuring your first workflow is the most important step in getting started with Scheduler. The settings you define here will control every aspect of the booking process, from where the data comes from to how appointments are scheduled.
To begin, open the Settings page in the Scheduler application. Here, you will find all the options for configuring Workflow 1. The settings are organised in a logical, top-down order to make the initial setup as straightforward as possible.
You will need to work through each section of the settings page to ensure that your workflow is correctly configured. The main areas you will need to address are:
- Source and Destination Modules: Choosing where your bookings will be initiated from and where they will be saved.
- Field Mapping: Connecting Scheduler's fields to your Zoho CRM fields.
- Booking Form: Customising the form your agents will use to make bookings.
- Field Agent Selection: Specifying which of your CRM users are field agents.
- Availability Logic: Defining what constitutes a booked appointment in your CRM.
- Slots Policy: Setting the rules for appointment availability.
The "Configuration Guide" section of this documentation provides detailed instructions on how to configure each of these areas. We recommend that you read through this guide carefully to ensure that you understand all the available options.
