App Fields vs. CRM Fields

Understand the distinction between App Fields and CRM Fields in Scheduler.

To ensure a seamless integration with Zoho CRM, Scheduler makes a distinction between its own internal fields, known as App Fields, and the fields within your CRM, referred to as CRM Fields.

  • App Fields: These are a fixed set of fields that Scheduler requires to function correctly. They represent the essential pieces of information that the application needs to understand in order to find and book appointments. Examples of App Fields include:

    • Booking agent
    • Input postcode
    • Booking date time
    • Field agent
    • Output address

For Scheduler to work, each of these App Fields must be mapped to a corresponding CRM Field in your Zoho CRM.

  • CRM Fields: These are the fields that exist within your Zoho CRM modules. You will map these fields to Scheduler's App Fields to tell the application where to get information from (in the source module) and where to write information to (in the destination module).

This mapping process is a crucial part of configuring a workflow. It allows you to control exactly how data is transferred between Scheduler and your CRM, ensuring that your booking process is fully integrated with your existing data structures.
