Lead Conversion and Auto-Mapping
Learn how Scheduler handles lead conversion and automatic field mapping.
When your workflow is configured to use Leads as the source module and Deals (or Accounts/Contacts) as the destination module, Scheduler takes advantage of Zoho CRM's built-in lead conversion mapping.
How it Works
When you convert a lead in Zoho CRM, standard fields such as name, company, email, phone, and address are automatically carried over to the corresponding fields in the newly created Deal, Account, or Contact record.
Scheduler respects this native Zoho functionality. This means that when a booking is made from a Lead, you do not need to manually map these standard fields in your workflow settings. The information will be automatically transferred as part of the lead conversion process.

Implications for Your Booking Form
Because of this automatic mapping, you can simplify your booking form by only including the fields that are not automatically mapped during lead conversion. This typically includes any custom fields or mandatory fields on your Deal module that do not have a corresponding field on the Lead record.
By focusing your booking form on only the essential, non-mapped fields, you can create a faster and more efficient experience for your telephone agents, as they will not have to spend time filling in information that is already present on the Lead record.
Custom Mapping
If you have custom fields in your Leads module that you want to map to your Accounts, Contacts, or Deals modules, you will need to set up custom mapping in Zoho CRM.
- Go to Setup > Customization > Modules and Fields.
- From the List of modules, select the Leads module.
- Click the Module Settings icon > Lead Conversion Mapping.
- In the Map Fields for Leads Conversion page, the fields are listed under the Lead Fields column. Fields under corresponding modules (Accounts, Contacts and Deals) are also present.
- Map the lead fields to the corresponding fields of Accounts, Contacts and Deals.
